How does it work?

After evaluating all the information gathered during the Initial consult and treatment, the chiropractor will explain everything to you in detail: what is the cause of your symptoms, what can be done about it, how long will it take, how much treatment may be necessary and how much will it cost.

Types of Care

Chiropractic care is like building a house – certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. The same is true for your body. Your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully. There are three general phases of chiropractic care.

PHASE 1: INITIAL CARE

Symptomatic Relief only. Designed to reduce or eliminate symptoms such as pain, numbness, weakness and the effects of organ dysfunction. Each treatment builds on the one before, if left too long between adjustments your spine will return to its abnormal function.

Remember… the longer your complaint has been present the longer it will take to correct

PHASE 2: CORRECTIVE CARE

Strengthening / retraining phase of care. Designed for long term benefits and not merely the relief of pain. This type of care prevents your symptoms from returning. It is more important than the initial stage, because as retraining of your abnormal movement patterns occur, muscles, joints and ligaments learn to work correctly. Choosing to stop your care at this stage because your symptoms are no longer present results in incomplete correction of spinal malfunction and may invite a relapse

PHASE 3: MAINTENANCE CARE

For Optimum Health. Designed to help you stay well and in control of your health by keeping your body functioning at it‘s optimum. Major problems can be prevented by detecting them earlier. Maintenance care is determined only after a progressive examination and varies between individuals and their specific conditions. Treatment can vary from between 4-12 weeks.
